Harp adds rich texture to the graphic interplay of horizontal and vertical forms.

Product Description

A bold exploration of black and white, Harp adds rich texture to the graphic interplay of horizontal and vertical forms. It represents the Chilewich design team’s dedication to pushing the boundaries of weaving through the integration of larger “floats”—the weft yarns that create a pattern by passing over clusters of warp threads in a planned sequence, and vice versa.

Designed with beauty, functionality, and longevity in mind, Chilewich table mats wipe clean and retain their like-new appearance through many years of use, indoors or out. The collection is free of phthalates and easy to clean with soap and water. “The textures, patterns, and colors of our mats become the first layer upon which everything else sits,” says founder Sandy Chilewich. “They set the tone for a table.”

PLACEMAT & RUNNER CARE

Because Chilewich placemats & runners are created using various techniques, finishes & enhancing details, different styles require different types of care. Please follow these guidelines to keep your Chilewich placemats/runners clean & maintain their original appearance.

All Chilewich placemats should be stored flat. Do not fold placemats or allow them to crease.

Hot objects may damage your placemat/runner. Please exercise caution & use a trivet to protect your placemat/runner from excessive heat.

  • To clean, simply wipe with soap, water & a soft sponge or cloth. Standard antibacterial cleanser can also be used. Rinse with clean water & air dry.
  • Remove stubborn stains with a soft sponge & a bleach-based cleanser. Rinse with clean water & air dry. This will remove the stain without altering the fabric. Do not aggressively scrub.
  • Machine washing or dishwasher use is not recommended.
  • More permanent stains may result when certain foods or liquids (e.g. tomato, hot pepper sauce, turmeric) are left on the placemat or runner for long periods before cleaning. This is more likely to occur with lighter-color textiles. Make sure to remove such spills mats quickly.
