The designs and shifting forms of Scout take inspiration from patterned mats made by the BaKongo people, in what is now the Democratic Republic of the Congo. Reimagined in a new materiality & palette, this brings a contemporary spirit to ancient motifs.

Woven Floor Mats are made from Chilewich's durable signature woven textile bonded with a flexible commercial-grade backing (except Heddle and Market Fringe, which are unbacked). The latex backing provides a protective, water-resistant base layer, enhanced slip resistance and durability, and increased comfort underfoot.

Custom sizes are available in all weaves except Frame. All woven floor mats except Market Fringe are self-bound. Made in the USA with TerraStrand and Microban (Multi Stripe is not made with TerraStrand). Suitable for indoor and outdoor use. Free of phthalates.
